SCHOLARSHIPS
The School of Cinematic Arts offers scholarships and financial aid to help undergraduate and graduate students pay for their cost of education. These funds, from private individual donors, corporations and foundations, are for direct student support and do not have to be repaid.
All applicants are encouraged to apply for SCA scholarships as a part of the Slide Room application for admission. Information provided for the scholarship application has no impact on admission consideration and is reviewed by a separate committee. In order to be considered for SCA scholarships, domestic students are required to apply for Financial Aid at USC. Please visit the USC Financial Aid web page for more information about the financial aid process and application.
SCA scholarships are reserved specifically for students that qualify based on their merit, financial need, or a combination of the two. Awards are also available for students based on field of study, career interest, members of underrepresented group, or country or origin. In general, SCA awards are modest in amount and can range from $1,000 to $25,000. Both domestic and international students are eligible to apply.
Teacher’s Assistant/Student Assistant or Fellowships
TAships, SAships, and Fellowships can be a great way to enhance your knowledge in your area of study, while gaining hands-on experience. Fellowships are available to support current faculty and outside organizations in the areas of academia, research or a particular area of interest.
A scholarship application will never impact your admissions consideration. USC is need-blind in its admission process — a student’s financial need will never influence an admission decision.
