Founded in 1929 with the idea of preparing women and men to excel and be leaders in the practices of film, television and interactive media, the USC School of Cinematic Arts has held true to that mission for more than 86 years by having long held the enviable position as the world's top destination for studying the cinematic arts. SCA students learn under the guidance and mentorship of faculty renowned throughout academia and entertainment, with access to facilities and equipment that rival or exceed those of today's top studios and companies. We train our students not just for the professional world as it exists today, but as it will be tomorrow. This is why SCA alumni are among the most successful leaders in their field, and why the industry looks to the USC School of Cinematic Arts first when hiring the next generation of media makers, scholars, and innovators. With more than 17,000 alumni strong, the SCA community continues to grow and thrive.
