Waivers or substitutions of SCA major requirements are initiated through an internal petition form, which will be reviewed by the chair of the division that offers the class being petitioned, the Assistant Dean of Student Services, and the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs. Supporting documents, such as a syllabus, are mandatory for consideration. To access the form, please contact your assigned academic advisor or email studentaffairs@cinema.usc.edu.
Please note that all core production courses-CTPR 290, 294/295, 310, 480, 484, 486, 507, 508, and 541, 545, and 546-cannot be waived.
