Matthew Baughman ’99 has received a 2014 Daytime Emmy nomination in Outstanding Pre-School Children’s Animated Program for his work on Curious George. To date, he has four Emmy nominations and one win.
The documentary feature film BITESIZE! won Best Feature Documentary at the CINEQUEST Awards. It was directed by Corbin Billings ‘09.
Jason Michael Berman ’06 produced and Sheldon Candis ’03 directed The Jermicy School. The short film celebrates the 40-year history of the nation’s leading school for students with dyslexia and other learning differences. Berman is also producing the upcoming films Little Accidents, Chu and Blossom, X/Y and Franny.
Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions has acquired all international rights to Space Station 76, which premiered at SXSW. It was produced by Dan Burks ‘02, Frank Mele ‘00, Joel Michaels, Ed Parks ‘00 and Rachel Ward ‘00.
Peter Cameron ’13 co-wrote and directed Last Flight, a 3-D action/thriller starring Ed Westwick and Zhu Zhu. It premiered in Shanghai and stayed on the Top Ten In China list for three weeks.
Teng Cheng is nominated for a 2014 Student Academy Award in Animation for his project, Higher Sky.
Lorenzo De Maio ’01 will executive produce Gateway for Entertainment One Television and De Laurentiis Co. Martha De Laurentiis, eOne’s John Morayniss, Michael Rosenberg and Benedict Carver will co-executive produce.
Breck Eisner ’95 will direct Karate Kid 2 for Sony Pictures. The film is a sequel to the 2010 reboot of the original 1984 film. Karate Kid 2 will again star Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan.
Jason Ensler ’97 will executive produce and direct Red Band Society, Fox’s new coming-of-age drama about a group of teenagers who are long-term hospital patients. Steven Spielberg, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank and Sergio Aguero will also executive produce.
David Erickson ’97 will co-write and executive produce, along with Robert Kirkman, AMC’s untitled Walking Dead companion series.
Paul Feig ’84 is producing the first attempt at a CGI-version of Charles Schulz’s iconic Peanuts for Fox Animation and Blue Sky Studios.
Dina Gachman ’07 wrote Brokenomics, which will be published by Seal Press in spring 2015.
Yana Gorskaya ’02 and Maia Rossini have sold an ensemble musical pitch to Fox. They will write the script and Paul Feig ’84 will produce through his company, Feigco Entertainment.

Victoriana, produced by Akiva Potok ’03 and directed by Jadrien Steel ‘99, won the New Visions Award at CINEQUEST.
Justin Ostensen ‘04 is currently the Staff Post Supervisor at Dreamworks Studios (Live Action). He has also received Post Coordinator credits on Lincoln, Need For Speed.
Production has started on A Light Beneath Their Feet, written by Moira McMahon ‘02. The film will star Taryn Manning, Kurt Fuller and Nora Dunn. Jeffrey Waldron ‘03 is the Director of Photography.
Jay Roach ’86 will executive produce Women In Space with Kristen Gore for HBO. The series is a half-hour comedy series following a group of women on a mission to colonize another planet.
Nothing To Lose: The Documentary by Andrew Sandler ’10 won the LA-Art House Film Festival and has been chosen as an official selection for the 2013 Beverly Hills Film Festival.
Miles Swarthout ’73 wrote The Last Shootist, a western novel that will be published in hardcover by Forge Books/Macmillan in October 2014.
Matthew Weiner ’90 will be presented with the 2014 International Emmy Founders Award during the awards ceremony on November 24.
Sean E. Williams ’04 co-created and co-wrote the comic book series, Artful Daggers by IDW Publishing. He also wrote Fairest: The Return of the Maharaja by DC/Vertigo for a June 2014 publication. He also wrote several issues of DC Comics’ The Vampire Diaries.
