Daniel Barnz ‘95 — produced the pilot for Prism, which was initially developed for NBC.

Julian Breece ’05 — is writing the script for the untitled film based on the life of Alvin Ailey. Barry Jenkins is directing for Fox Searchlight.  

Jon Chu ‘03 — has signed a four-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television.

Katelyn Crabb ‘18 — has been accepted into Impact 2, a program that empowers outside voices under a group of established industry writers and showrunners. Kieran Mulroney will be supervising Katelyn Crabb’s script The Withering.

Akela Cooper ‘06 — will be screenwriting the sequel to The Nun.

Cassius Corrigan ‘14 — has been accepted into Impact 2, a program that empowers outside voices under a group of established industry writers and showrunners. Doug Ellin will be guiding Cassius in developing the TV project Colossus.

Joshua Cozine ’06 — is the editor-in-chief of Stranger Comics, whose fantasy project Asunda has been put in development by HBO. Co-Creator Sebastian A. Jones will be co-writing and executive producing the series.

Erika Davis-Marsh — her thesis Film CODA has won Programmer’s Choice Awards at Cleveland International Film Festival and also the Founder’s Award at the ReelAbilties New York Film Festival.

David Gelb '06 — is producing 2 new shows for Disney+: Marvel’s 616, an anthological documentary series that explores the Marvel legacy and its intersection with the world; and Earthkeepers, a wildlife conservation-themed show.

Darin Goldberg ‘91 — is the new executive producer and showrunner of Good Witch season 5, which is airing on the Hallmark Channel.

David S. Goyer ‘88 — is writing and producing a re-imagining of Clive Barker’s 1987 horror classic Hellraiser.

Evan Hayes ‘02 — is producing an untitled movie based on the Jonas Bonnier book The Helicopter Heist. The drama will star Jake Gyllenhaal.
 
Soo Hugh ‘06 — will be showrunning the series Pachinko, which chronicles the hopes and dreams of four generations of a Korean immigrant family. Apple ordered the series based on Min Jin Lee’s best selling novel.

Kelley Kali ’17 - wrote and directed the short film Lalo’s House which won the Audience Choice, Jury Choice and Best Actress awards at the Diversity in Cannes Short Film Showcase.

Abby Kohn ‘96 and Marc Silverstein ‘96 — will write and direct the feature Fantasy Camp. Jennifer Garner is set to star.

Steve Michaels ‘93 — his Asylum Entertainment Group launched Clovis Entertainment to develop and produce one-hour drama series.

Neal Moritz ’85 — is producing a female-fronted Cliffhanger reboot.

Tracy Oliver ’10 — signed a first-look deal at Topic Studios.

Aaron Rahsaan Thomas ’02 - signed a new two-year overall deal with Sony Pictures TV.

Heather Regnier '08 - is writing the USA Network television show Dicks. Regnier describes the show as “a celebration of the female weirdo, which is real feminism — our other favorite F word.”

Bobby Roth ’72 — is directing The Last Rescue, a political thriller about a seasoned Muslim freelance journalist and a Hollywood movie star who form an unlikely partnership to heroically smuggle children out of a besieged Syrian village.

Eric Schrier ’98 — has been elevated from President of Original Programming for FX Networks and FX Prods., to the newly created position of President, FX Entertainment.

Jason Shuman ‘96 — is producing Showtime, a drama series about the 1980s L.A. Lakers, which has received an HBO Pilot Order.

Sarah Streicher '12 — is writing and producing The Wilds for Amazon Prime Video. Part survival drama, part dystopic slumber party, The Wilds follows a group of teenage girls from radically different backgrounds after an airplane crash strands them on a deserted island.

Stephen Susco '00 — is adapting Robert McCammon’s Speaks The Nightbird into a series for FX. Mark Walper ‘83 will produce.

Jennifer Todd — is producing Minotaur, a supernatural thriller set in Johannesburg for Amblin Pictures.

Jon Turteltaub ’86 — is directing Insane, a film based on “Crazy” Eddie Antar, the late consumer electronics king who wound up serving six years in prison for perpetrating one of the greatest securities frauds in history. eOne will finance the project.

Jeff Wadlow ’01 — is directing a live-action feature take on Mattel's popular toy Magic 8 Ball.

John Wells ‘82 — is staying at Warner Brothers after signing a new five-year overall deal.

Max Winkler '06 — is directing Fruitcake starring Will Ferrell and Laura Dern. Fruitcake is the true story of Sandy and Kay Jenkins, a seemingly upstanding middle-class couple, who achieved the American dream after Sandy used his job as an accountant to embezzle $17 million from Collin Street Bakery.
